Adventurous Outdoor Engagement Session at Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest

We always feel so lucky living here in the Pacific Northwest. There are many outdoor opportunities and endless breathtaking, diverse landscapes in the PNW. One of our favorite places to explore in Washington, no matter the season, is Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. There is a certain magic that never ends, so when Andy and Katrina decided to have their engagement photo session there, we were beyond excited.

Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is just a beautiful 2.5 hour drive from Seattle. It’s worth having a day trip there for any reason, but a romantic engagement session is the perfect excuse. In the national forest, you’ll find snowcapped peaks, dense moss covered forests, and glacier fed streams and rivers flowing over picturesque waterfalls. One of the most breathtaking places in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is Artist Point. For most of the year, Artist Point is covered in snow and can only be accessed by snow shoeing or skiing. In early October, we ventured with our couple, Andy and Katrina, up to the mountains and were gifted with such majestic sights.

After we were done at Artist Point, we couldn't help but stop by another area close by. Since fall was in full force with its gorgeous colors, we had to take advantage of the scenery. It just adds to an already beautiful location that features one of our favorite mountains - Mount Shuksan. This glaciated mass towers over in all its glory. We are always amazed everytime we see it and photographing our couple to celebrate their love made it an even more meaningful and significant experience.
